I've been there.. and done that! Remember that saying... Well with me it's partially true! I've been to alot of states in this United Land. I've had the good fortune to have a good mother and she had to raise five of us, plus lost one when I was very young, (God Bless you Clyde Jr.) but we traveled with her, which got into my blood. So Detroit. Cinci, A.T.L., Florida, Vegas, and Cali became my stomping grounds. Other cities too! None more interesting than New York! Those streets, projects to high rises, from the slums to the top floor of the Hilton.. back alleys to board rooms...it was all my playground! So, just like the first true black writer 'Donald Goines' I choose to share mine, stuff I've seen, done, heard or imagined...it will be in my work!
My dream is to take you, the reader, into places that are funny, that are real, that are dangerous, and have you take a breath when you sit the book down for the night, have you look at the book and be glad that you brought it. That it will entertain you!
